OCHOS RIOS, JAMAICA

On our recent cruise through the Caribbean, one of our ports of call was Ochos Rios, Jamaica.  Jamaica is a mixture of beautiful scenery and heart-wrenching poverty.  One of the main attractions in Ochos Rios is Dunn's River Falls.  When we arrived, a 2nd ship came into port at almost the exact same time and I would guess 80% of the tourists were going to visit Dunn's River Falls so we decided to be a little different.  We went to Turtle River Falls & Gardens

 which was previously a gorgeous resort but unfortunately, was closed several years ago.  The trails through the falls remains open with a very small staff -- we were the only tourists there so we got our own personal tour with a young man, Jordan who couldn't have been more than early 20s.  The falls were beautiful but if you looked right or left, you saw the remnants of the resort where you had to use your imagination to see how beautiful it must have been at one time.  Hope you enjoy the photos.
