COZUMEL, MEXICO

On Day 3 of our cruise, we sailed into Cozumel, Mexico.  We stayed in port for 2 nights.  Cozumel is a small island (30 miles long by 9 miles wide) in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Cozumel is a tourist destination known for its scuba diving and snorkeling.  We didn't do either one, but we still enjoyed the streets, sites and the beaches.   One of the highlights of our visit was the Pelicans. We were able to get so close that we could reach out and touch them.

During our walk through the town, we came upon some American musicians...actually, murals painted on the side of buildings of Mick Jagger and another of the Beatles. Another interesting site were the cars painted like zebras and tigers that had "Rent Me" signs on them.
