Beaver Sighting

Went for a walk today in Pawling around "Nuclear Lake", a section of the appalachian trail. During our walk, we saw evidence of beavers all around us.  Then we heard a loud splash in the water.  We soon realized a beaver had jumped off the shore and swam out to a section of the lake and then popped up through a hole near a rock. He just sat there, seemingly posing for us, as we took pictures while he chewed on some grass. He was big and looked to weigh about 50-60 lbs.
