Beaver Sighting

Went for a walk today in Pawling around "Nuclear Lake", a section of the appalachian trail. During our walk, we saw evidence of beavers all around us.  Then we heard a loud splash in the water.  We soon realized a beaver had jumped off the shore and swam out to a section of the lake and then popped up through a hole near a rock. He just sat there, seemingly posing for us, as we took pictures while he chewed on some grass. He was big and looked to weigh about 50-60 lbs.

Hartford St. Patrick's Day Parade

Saturday, a group of us from the camera club went to Hartford to photograph the parade.  We wandered around for about an hour and a half before step off and then stayed for the parade, taking pictures of the sights.  Here's a few pictures from the city and the parade.

Rondout Reservoir

Drove around this weekend to take pictures. Started off in Minnewaska State Park where most of the trails were closed due to icy conditions. We went for a small hike on the one trail that was opened, then decided to move on.  We ended up at the Rondout Reservoir in Catskill Park. On the way, we came upon an Eagle Viewing site where we saw two eagles taking turns guarding their nest.
