QUARRY, SAND HILL ROAD, DOVER PLAINS, NY
For years I had heard about a quarry on Sand Hill Road and my dad always tells stories of going up there as a teenager with friends and diving off the cliff into the deep, deep water.  Saturday, as I was driving looking for places to pull over and take pictures close to home, I came across the quarry.  After climbing over a barbed wire fence and taking a small trek through the woods, I came across the quarry.  It was difficult to get a good shot and to capture the beauty of it because the area was so overgrown.  You literally had to walk over to the cliff edges and lean over to get a picture - it was a little scary.  The rocks actually curve around to the other side but with the area being so overgrown, it was not possible to get the right angle to show this.  Here's my best shot...
