South Carolina

In November, I spent the Thanksgiving holiday with family just outside Myrtle Beach.  There were so many variety of birds!  We also took a short cruise where I was able to capture a few photos of the dolphins which actually came so close to the boat that they were TOO CLOSE - I had my long lens (200 - 400mm) and the dolphins were actually too close for the lens to focus.

Sunrise and Sunset in Yellowstone National Park

The sunrise and sunset in Yellowstone are so beautiful.  These were captured during my trip in July. The photos of the elk were "accidental" - we were leaving the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone after taking several hikes in the area and just happened to be at the right place at the right time to capture these elk on the way back to our cabin.  The 2nd and 3rd photos were taken on Firehole Drive - I prepared an 'agenda' before the trip and this was one of the key locations that we wanted to visit at sunset and it didn't disappoint. I was quite surprised that we were there all alone.

Yellowstone - 2016

This past July, I visited Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park for the 3rd time...and I am already planning a fourth!!!  If you haven't visited there, you must plan a trip.  There's simply no place on Earth like it.  Here are a few of my favorite photos I got this year of the varied wildlife.  Each time we go, we see something different...

The Eagles are back!

The Eagles are back

It's been almost a year since I updated my blog.  Decided to add a few posts which represent some of my favorite subjects and photos.

The Eagles are back at the Ten Mile Preserve just a few miles down the road.  Each winter I look forward to these beautiful birds - so majestic and powerful!  Some of these were taken recently at the preserve preserve but a couple were taken elsewhere but represent my favorites.
