Wildlife at Yellowstone National Park

Saw some amazing wildlife at YNP ...

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK, WY

Recently spent several days in the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.  The park was established in 1929.  We flew into the Jackson Hole Airport which is in the south end of the park.  We looked high and low for moose but didn't see any. Actually, didn't see much wildlife at all in the Grand Teton park but did get to take a "sunrise" float trip down the Snake River, visit Cunningham's cabin and Mormon Row, all prime tourist locations.  After the float trip, we ate at Dorman's where we were able to enjoy the beautiful view of the Grand Tetons mountain range while eating breakfast outside.

Mountain Blue Bird ~ Yellowstone National Park

Before my trip, while researching Yellowstone, I came across a picture of a mountain blue bird that someone had taken in Yellowstone. I hadn't seen this bird the first time I was there 2 years ago so I was hoping to see it this time.  On the first morning drive through the Tower-Roosevelt area, we came upon this bird.  I was so excited. Didn't get many good shots but was just excited to see it - such a beautiful bird!

The wildlife at Yellowstone is awesome!  There were times where you could reach out and touch the bison.  These were taken with a 100-400mm lens so sometimes these animals were very far away and I had to zoom in on them but there were times when they were so close, using this lens, I could only get their eyeball...
