More Eagles at Ten Mile Preserve

Went back today and captured more eagles. Afterwards, we went up to Stone Church where the ice formations were beautiful!

Over the next few weekends, I am traveling down the Hudson River to take photos of the eagles. There are over 150 eagles that make their home along the Hudson River each winter.  Imagine my surprise when I was driving around in the snow storm yesterday and about 1.5 miles from my house, I came across eagles!! There were about 5 or 6 though they were far away.  With the 70mm - 200mm lens with an extender, I was able to capture a few of them.  These have been cropped a lot so I tried to boost the detail.

Hudson Valley Farm

Last Sunday while driving around, we came across a number of farms in the northern Dutchess Country area - near Millerton, that had some very cool farm animals. The barn looked abandoned from the front, then something caught my attention out of the back of my eye. I thought it was a lone duck or a bird. I walked to the back of the barn and was amazed at all the farm animals. They all seemed well cared for and they all LOVED to get their pictures taken, especially this first guy.

Today we took some back roads in upper Dutchess County and found this beautiful waterfall on Dug Road near Millterton, NY.
